5 Tantalizing Trends at the 2020 Oscars

This year’s Oscars was filled with monumental moments in both film and fashion history. Many stars took to the red carpet with different kinds of stunning looks.  From men to women and even kids, the looks from last night’s event definitely did not disappoint.

Usually men’s fashion at awards shows feature a bunch of uniform black tuxedos. However, Spike Lee turned heads at this year’s Oscars with a Kobe Bryant inspired purple and yellow-lined Gucci suit. The 62-year-old director was seen wearing the official colors of the Los Angeles Lakers, with the number 24 on both the front (both lapels) and back of the suit. To finish off the look, Lee paired his iconic outfit with orange Nike Kobe 9 Elite “Strategy” sneakers, and a dark purple cabbie hat with little black motifs.

Another look that was one-of-a-kind was seen on 18-year-old Grammy Award-winning singer Billie Eilish. The singer wore head-to-toe Chanel, sporting a white tweed suit with Chanel pins all across, along with black sneakers and lace gloves. To finish off her look, Eilish showed off large Chanel earrings and a necklace to go with her sizable rings and long black nails. Eilish’s look could not have been complete without her iconic neon green and black hair to add a pop of color and personality to her otherwise posh Chanel look.

This year, we saw the adorable Jojo Rabbit duo Roman Griffin Davis and Archie Yates bringing smiles to everyone’s faces as they stunned in matching tuxedos. 13-year-old Davis, however, added a slight pop of color to his look with the addition of his bright orange collar. The two were seen all smiles on the red carpet posing for photos with bunny ears and peace signs.

The Jojo Rabbit stars weren’t the only kids wow-ing the red carpet, as 10-year-old actress Julia Butters was seen rocking an all-pink ensemble. The Once Upon a Time star was seen wearing a pink ruffled Christian Siriano piece, paired with a small bejeweled pink Marzook purse, in which she made everyone laugh by announcing she had brought a turkey sandwich inside.
